Rebonded hair no more....Back to bouncy curls =)

For almost a year now, I've always been thinking (and itching lol) to get my hair permed again...But this time, I dont want to have the traditional/artisitic perm like the one I tried after my wedding....I want big bouncy curls!!!!! When I inquired about it at the previous salon where I got my traditional perm, they told me that this look can only be achieved by Digital Perm....OK so I asked how much will it cost for my hair length and they said that its costs a whooping P5,000!!!! There's no way I'm gonna spend that much money for vanity....I mean, the farthest I could go for my hair is P4000. That was when I had my hair rebonded....(It took me months to decide if I will spend that much money before thats how thrifty i am :P)....That was my reason at that time to give up the idea of getting digiperm....

Then came one day, I came across a forum in girltalk about hair perming (am so thankful to this forum).....In there, they tackled everything about perming....From digiperm, good salons to get this, after care (maintenance), products to use to keep the perm.....After reading (god knows how many pages...) I came across the salon BEAUTY BRICK....According to the girls there, the stylist/owner Mr. Shin is a genius when it comes to perming....Now I can attest to that...HE IS INDEED A GENIUS...... I LOVE how my hair turned out......The curls are still tight by now because they were blow dryed.....But he said it will loosen a little bit after shampooing.... Well enough stories....Here's my new look!!!!! I think it will take a long time before I sport straight hair again :)
Here's how the salon looks like from outside

A full view of my curls =)

Hmmm....need to color my hair again....regrowth is already long...too bad i have to ait for 3 weeks

For the final verdict.....Yes!!!! I'll definitely have my hair serviced again by Beauty Brick Salon....Again..Thanks to Mr Shin and all his staff....

Korean Invasion.....the etude house

from acting, singing, fashion, trends, tourists....name it!!!!! the koreans are indeed very in nowadays specially for us filipinos....for me, i started liking them by their heart melting novelas...who could ever forget jodi and cholo from stairway to heaven??? i can still remember going to office without sleep just to watch the full episode....(yeah talk about korean novela marathon.....) and look at how we patronize their music...from nobody of the wonder girls to 2NE1 of course because of Sandy =).....

but one thing i adore about them the most is this makeup brand.....the etude house.....i simply LOOVVEEEE this store.....i can share my reasons for liking it:

1. the store itself is sooooo cute and captivating....why you may ask??? because its like Barbie's house....everywhere you look you see cute stuff in PINK!!!! here's how it looks like...
i soo love this store....if ever ill have my own dressing room, ill definitely want it exactly like this =)

2. there are a lot of products to choose from....and all of them have cute packaging which makes you want to buy them all...here's the products i already bought/tried....got the product info from the global etude site.....

- Essence-In Foundation SPF22/PA+
Content: 30 ml
Concept: Moisture cream formulated liquid foundation coverage moisturizes and tightens
complexion with flawless coverage.
Description: Formulated with moisture cream for smooth application and skin brightened expression . Baobab Tree Extract + Collagen promote moist, youthful complexion
UV protection liquid foundation coverage
My say on the product: I so love this foundation....It really gives me that tight, flawless look...This is the fondie i used on my sister in my previos post and also on the silver and blue smokey eye look that i did..... the only negative thing i can comment is that it only comes in 2 shades.... 1 (for fair skin) 2 (their darkest color).....if i dont mix this with a darker fondie.....it doesnt look that good in pictures because the face is whiter than my body and neck....but nonetheless i still like it =)

-Moistfull Collagen Cream

Content: 50 ml
Concept: Moisturizing and tightening cream improves complexion look and feel with concentrated Baobab Tree extract and Collagen formula.
Description: Concentrated Baobab Tree + Collagen content for advanced moisturizing and tightening. Supplies noticeably tightened sensation and results
Baobab Tree + Collagen combination improves dermal structure and moisture retention
My say on the product: This is the best moisturizer ive tried so far. it really gave me that tight, young looking skin! ive been using this for over a month now. and all i can say is im loving it even more.....its not too heavy when you apply it but it really keeps my face moisturized.

- Ms. Twinkle MiniMe Cologne
now this one they dont have any description/info yet posted in their site. the one i have is Ms. Twinkle. there are 5 scents to choose from. all smell nice but this is the one i like best.

- Oh~m’EYE Lash Maxi Volume

Content: 8g
Concept: Eyelash Serenade for a Princess
Description: Volume Black Mascara promotes lush eyelashes
My say on the product: this one makes my lashes look thick. gives the right volume on my lashes

i also got myself my first stippling brush. cant really say that much right now cause i dont have any other stippling brush (from other brands) to compare with.....

well so far these are all ive got from etude....got to go back there again to try more products...hopefully tomorrow since its payday....wohoo!!!!

Free Training.....Free Food....Free Net....This is my kind of life

last May 12-14, 2010 i was assigned to attend a training sponsored by my employer. upon knowing that im one of those selected employees i was already excited. i was thinking "yey! 3 day training with free breakfast, lunch and even merienda!"....but my excitement grew when i got to see the course outline...the training was software test planning and test case design and the company conducting it is DIGILEAF INC.....i thought this is the kind of thing i want to learn more....because as a programmer, im just used to put into code whatever my team lead will assign me to do...but in this training, i will learn more on the analysis and testing aspect. i was with all hopes when we had our first day...i was like a kid whos just attending first day in kindergarten with eyes twinkling from anticipation =)....am happy that until the last day, my expectations were met 100%. The trainor Ms. Jocelyn Reyes really knows what she's teaching us. she's been in the testing industry for a decade already according to her. and i like her teaching style...it was typical classroom type of teaching but i never got bored..my mind never wandered away from her lectures even if we had free net access... (hehehe...ok i browsed through facebook every lunch...but that was our free time). i even got the highest score in our final exam! you might want to check out their company. their site is digileaf.com

another good thing about this training is that i get to know people from different companies like Bank of commerece and Miriam College.its good we share different processes that aided us to analyze our case study even more. here's some of our pictures taken from our last day...

enjoying our last group lunch together. we were served this sweet n sour pork with soup n dessert..yummy =)

of course every training needs a class picture! lol

see our smiles when we got out certificates? =)

Labor of Love....A mother's day gift to my wonderful mom

every mother's day, I always give the same gift to my mom.... red ribbon cake, flowers and a greeting card full of my love messages for her.....so this year i thought would i give the same thing again???? isn't she tired of receiving the same old thing every year???? this is what came into my mind while scouting for gifts at the mall....suddenly i remembered when she said she wanted something hanged on her living room wall....with that, i went to the nearest bookstore from my workplace to buy acrylic paint, set of paint brush and some acrylic pad.....alright!!! i'm all set!!!! but wait.....what the heck will i paint???? im not really a good painter, so something basic yet beautiful will have to do..... after series of searching the net (not to mention youtube for free tutorials hehehehe) i decided to paint japanese cherry blossoms in sunset...... i had fun doing it and am quite happy that it turned out ok....

This is how my painting looked like with frame. Sorry for the poor cam quality

a lot better in frame right =)

my mom really liked it and wishes to have more paintings on her wall ffrom now on.....well i hope next time i can come up with a better cherry blossoms rendition. =)

Look of the day: Silver and Blue Smokey Eyes

to prepare myself for makeup school, i promise myself that i'll practice putiing on makeup more often...too bad there's lot of distractions like facebook, ym, youtube, etc...i was only able to come up with one look this whole week (talk about being lazy eh hehehe)....i used frosted eye shadows in dark blue, white and silver shades. its a new brand that i got from landmark makati...they're really cheap (P69.75 per pot).. so i thought i'll give it a try! if it doesnt work out then it wouldnt hurt my purse so much... at first i said i'll just buy those colors that i dont have in my kit... but as i swatched each pot i didnt notice i was already holding 6 eye shadows, 1 cheek blusher, 1 lip gloss and 1 eye mascara.. i paid almost P1,200 for all..not bad right! enough of my blabbing...here's the look i came up for this week.

this is me with just foundation on

for the products i used:

For the eyes:

- Shawill eyeshadows in
009 - white
011 - silver
003 - dark blue
005 - black

- Etude Oh m'Eye Lash and Shawill Mascaras

Cheeks

-Dollface cosmetics in 10 palette

lipstick:
everbilena in skin and elf plumping gloss in champagne

My not so little sister anymore

This is my little sister now! Before all she asks of me are candies, toys and cute stuffs. Lately, whenever we're at malls, she asks makeups!! Even getting advises from me if this shade of foundation or concealer fits her. Or what brand of lipstick is kind of cheap but quality is ok......She's just a student that's why she keeps her budget tight when buying makeups.

This is her picture by the way when I dolled her up for her JS Prom. I just used white and silver eyeshadows because she doesnt want something heavy for her look. For her lips and cheeks, I used a very light pink shade.

I had a hard time fixing her hair though. She wanted very loose curls like the korean girls...Instead it turned out to be Goldilocks curl....hhehehe....Am glad she liked it afterwards.

She graduated Salutatorian of her class....Yes...I'm one proud ate (ate in tagalog means older sister =) Here's some of our pics from her graduation

High school life done...College here she comes =)

Now that's my mom..... =)

Hanna posing with her friends. Just look at all those medals =P
